VISIT BY THE PRINCE CHARLES
The Prime Minister today referred to his announcement
last May that The Prince Charles would be making a visit to
Australia in October to inaugurate the Anglo-Australian
Telescope Board's telescope at Siding Spring in New South
Wales and carry out other engagements.
Mr. Whitlam went on to say that advice has now been
received from London that His Royal Highness has agreed to
visit the A. C. T. and Eastern States in accordance with the
following itinerary:
Saturday 12 October
to Tuesday 15 October
Tuesday 15 October
to Saturday 19 October
Saturday 19 October
to Wednesday 23 October
Wednesday 23 October
to Saturday26 October
Saturday 26 October
to Wednesday 30 October Canberra New South Wales
Queensland Tasmania
Victoria
Consultations will now take place to prepare a program
of engagements for the visit. These details will be publicly
announced when approved.
