ECONOMIC CONSULTATIONS
The Prime Minister announced today that the Australian
Government has decided that the Economic consultations between
Ministers and representatives of national organisations
will be held this year from 6 to 8 August inclusive at
Parliament House, Canberra.
The Prime Minister said that the consultations are
held in the context of the Government's pre-Budget preparations
and provide an opportunity for an exchange of views on the
economy generally and on matters of importance to particular
segments of the community.
Letters of invitation to attend the consultations
have been sent to the organisations listed in the attached
