STATE FUNERAL
LATE HONOURABLE PARKER J. MOLONEY
Statement by the Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon, R. G. Menzies
SThe Prime Minister announced today that a State
Funeral would be accorded the late Honourable Parker J.
Moloney, who was Minister for Markets and Transport in the
Scullin Ministry from 1929 to 1931. The late Mr. Moloney was
0subsequently Chairman of the Australian Dried Fruits Control
Board until he retired in 1957. He is survived by two sons
The Reverend Father Parker J. Moloney ( next of kin), Mr.
Bryan Moloney and a daughter, Margaret, ( Sister M. Marguerite).
S A Solemn Requiem Mass will take place at 10.30 a. m.
on Wednesday 10th May at St. Patrick's Cathedral, Melbourne
after which the CortEge will leave for the Melbourne General
Cemetery, Carlton, where intorment will take place.
