In accordance with the Prices Justification
Act 1973 1 have today been notified by General
Motors-Holden's Pty. Limited and G * eneral Notors-iolde.'.
Sales Pty. Limited that they propose to increase the
prices of H-olden, Statesman and Torana motor vehicles
and their optional equipment by an overall weighted
average of 4.6 per cent as from 16 January 1974.-
The. companies have provided a tabulation of
the recommended retail prices for these products,
which is attached to this statement and may be
inspected at the offices of the Prices Justification
Tribunal, 10 Queens Road, South Melbourne or
Westfield Towers, 100 William Street, Sydney.
The proposed average increase corresponds
to the increase that the Prices Justification Tribunal
considered would be justified as from 7 January 1974
in its report dated 21 December 1973.
