PRICES JUSTIFICATION TRIBUNAL
The Acting Prime Minister announced today the
, appointment of Mr. T. A. Pettigrew to the Prices Justification
Tribunal. Mr. Pettigrew, who has been appointed a full time
member of the Tribunal, has had extensive experience in
business and in retailing in particular.
The Office of the Tribunal has been opened at
4 Treasury Place, East Melbourne and the Chairman,
Members and staff of the Tribunal are attending to
enquiries from companies which will come under the Act
wnen it comes into force tomorrow.
BACKGROUND NOTE:
Mr. Pettigrew is a former Group Direct-or of the
Myer Emproium. He flas represented retailing interests
at the Government's consultations with industry and has
had active public interests. He lives in Victoria.
