Re-Appointment of Chairman of the Tariff Board
The Prime Minister announced today that the
Executive Council had approved the re-appointment of
Mr. G. A. Rattigan, as Chairman of the Tariff
Board after his existing appointment ends on 15 May 1973.
In accordance with Mr. Rattigan's wish his extended term
of service would be until 15 November 1976 instead of a
full five year term.
The Prime Minister expressed the Australian
Government's appreciation of the continuation of
Mr. Rattigan's services in this very important position,
and especially at a time when a major review of the Australian
tariff is being undertaken.
