CORAL SEA WEEK GUEST OF HONOUR 1973
The US astronaut, Dr. Harrison Schmittx will come
to Australia for the Coral Sea Week celebrations this year,
Dr. Schmitt's official itinerary will begin in Sydney
on Monday 30 April and from there he will visit Newcastle,
Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne and Adelaide in that order.
He is scheduled to leave Australia on Monday 7 May.
Dr. Schmitt, a geologist employed by National
Aeronautics and Space Administration, was the first scientist
to visit the moon as a member of the Apollo 17 Mission. He
is a bachelor.
