AUSTRALIAN FILM AND TELEVISION SCHOOL
The Australian Film and Television School will be
established as a Statutory Authority. Cabinet decided today that
the School would have the status of a College of Advanced Education
and would provide a formal curriculum and other activities aimed
at developing creativet highly trained people for film and
television education and the industry generally.
A Bill establishing the School as a statutory body is
expected to be ready later this month. It will be introduced to
Parliament as soon as possible.
