STATEMENT BY THE PRITIE MINISTER, THE RT.
HON. WILLIAM McMAHON, M. P. IN
THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES, CANBERRA
FEDERAL ELECTION OCTOBER, 1972
The General Election for the House of Representatives
will be held on Saturday, 2 December 1972.
It is proposed to recommend to His Excellency
the Governor-General that he dissolve the House of Representatives
on 2nd November 1972.
The date proposed for the issue of the writs is
2 November 1972 and for the close of nominations is 10 November
1972. The Prime Minister confirmed that the Policy
Speech would be made on 14 November.
