HIGH COURT BUILDING
Statement by the Prime Minister, the Rt Hon. William McMahon

The Government has decided on the siting of the
High Court building in Canberra.
Thr-Pri. me MinisLi: said today that it had been
decided that the High Court building would stand within an
area lying to the north of the Administration Building, in
the Parliamentary Triangle.
The Government had also approved the holding of
an architectural competition to establish the design of the
building. No approval had been given for construction to
proceed, pending the establishment of a firm design and cost
estimate for the Court building, Mr. McMahon said.
