MESSAGES FROM THE PRIME MINISTER, MR WILLIAM McMAHON
TO SIR KEITH HOLYOAKE AND THE RT HON. J. R. MARSHALL.
The Prime Minister, Mr William 14cMahon, today sent the
following messages to Sir Keith Holyoake and The Rt Hon. J. R.
Marshall The text of the message to Sir Keith Holyoake reads
We recall today with appreciation and admiration
your very great service to your country over many
years as Prime Minister and also your very great
contribution in that capacity to Austraian/ New
Zealand relations and I may add to Commonwealth
relations. I send you and Lady Holyoake warm good
wishes on my own behalf and on behalf of my
colleagues.
The text of the message to The Rt Hon. J. R. Marshall
reads I send you from myself and all my colleagues
warmest congratulations and good wishes as you take
up your high and responsible office of Prime Minister
of New Zealand.
I look forward to a continuation of the close
co-operation which has long exited between our two
governments and countries.
