NEW DEFENCE MINISTER
Statement bythe Prime Minister, Mr. William McMahon
I have recommended to His Excellency, the Governor-
General that the Honourable David Fairbairn be sworn
in as the Minister for Defence.
His Excellency, the Governor-General, proposes
to hold the Swearing-in at 2. 30pm today, 13 August.
Mr. Fairbairn will, for the time being, continue
to hold also the portfolio of Education and Science.
