The Commonwealth and the Western Australian Governments today announce additional disaster recovery assistance for primary producers in the northwest of Western Australia affected by Tropical Cyclone Olwyn.
Category C assistance is being provided through the jointly-funded Commonwealth-State Natural Disaster Relief and Recovery Arrangements (NDRRA).
Eligible primary producers will now be able to access grants of up to $25,000 to assist with their clean-up and recovery costs.
Grants are available to primary producers in the local government areas of Carnarvon, Exmouth and Shark Bay, and a defined area within Ashburton.
We encourage primary producers in these areas who may be affected to contact the Department of Agriculture and Food to discuss how they can access these grants.
The Commonwealth and Western Australian Governments are committed to working together to assist affected communities recover from the devastation caused by the cyclone.
