The President of Indonesia, H.E. Dr Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, will make an official visit to Darwin as a Guest of the Australian Government from 2-4 July 2012 for the 2nd annual Indonesia-Australia Leaders' Meeting.
Australia and Indonesia enjoy a close partnership based on shared democratic values, close trade, education and defence links and a common interest in building a stable and prosperous region.
Indonesia is an increasingly important commercial partner for Australia, with two-way trade in 2011 valued at $14.8 billion.
Our countries also work closely regionally and globally as fellow members of the East Asia Summit, APEC and G20. T
he Prime Minister will hold bilateral discussions with President Yudhoyono in Darwin, building on the strong outcomes from the inaugural Indonesia-Australia Leaders' Meeting held in Bali in November 2011.
President Yudhoyono will be accompanied by a delegation of senior ministers.
