VISIT BY THE EMPEROR OF ETIHIOPIA
As announced earlier by the Prime Minister, Mr. John
Gorton, His Imperial Majesty Haile Sellassie I of Ethiopia will visit
Australia from 13 to 17 May.
His Imperial Majesty, who is scheduled to arrive in
Canberra direct from Djakcarta at 4. 30 p. mn. on 13 May will be accompanied
by an official suite of 16. He will also visit Melbourne and Perth.

and lays a wreath on the Stone of Remembrance. Visits
the 1-4a11 of M. emory and sigais the Visitois' Book.

Discussions with Ministers of the Cabinet
The Governor-General presents to His Imperial Majesty
the Heads of Diplomatic Missions
Attends lunch given by the Australian Government. His
Imperial Majesty will reply to speeches of welcome
by Government and Opposition Leaders
Holds a Press Conference at Hotel Canberra
Dinner given by His Imperial Majesty at Canberra-Rex

The Premiers of Victoria and Western Australia will each
announce details of the programme for Melbourne and
Perth.
