' he following cable has been received from the
Secretary of the Australian delegation at the Uganda Conference of the
Commonwealth Parliamentary Association:-
" Annual Meeting of Commonwealth Parliamentary
Association has elected Executive Committee to plan future course
of Association, now recognised as most important link binding
Commonwealth of Nations. The Committee comprises: Howson,
Australia ( Chairman);, Thomson, Secretary of State United Kingdom;
Connolly, Government Leader Canadian Senate; Reddy, Speaker,
Indian Parliament; Pindling, Prime Minister Baham as; Kalema,
Trade Minister Uganda; Ngaza, Minister Social Services Kenya;
McNeill, Minister Home Affairs, Jamaica; Ngkampoh, Assistant
Minister Finance Malaysia; Perera, Former Minister Finance,
Ceylon. Committee will meet in Mauritius May 1968.
