VISIT OF MR. EISAKU SATO,
PRIMEV MIINISTLR OF JAPAN
Statement by the Prime Kinister, Ivr. Harold Holt
I have pleasure in announcing that the Prime Minister
of Japan, Mr. 2isaku Sato will make an official visit to
Australia in October.
Ir. 3ato is expected to arrive in Canberra on
Wednesday, the 11th October. Before leaving Australia for
New Zealand on Saturday, 14th October, he will also make
visits to Melbourne and Sydney.
' hile in Canberra, Mr. iato will have discussions
with me and other members of the Government on matters of
mutual interest to both countries.
ilr. Sato will be accompanied by his wife. His
broad itinerary will be as follows:-

Thursday, 12th October
All day
Friday, 13th October
Miorning Afternoon
Saturday, 14th October
11.00 a. m. Arrive Canberra from overseas
Canberra Leave Canberra for Melbourne
Arrive Melbourne
Leave Pelbourne for Sydney
Arrive Sydney
Leave Sydney for New Zealand
