ASSISTANT GCVERNMENT W/ HIP
The Prime Minister, Mr Holt, advised the Joint
Government Party meeting this morning that Mr Kevin Cairns had
accepted his invitation to succeed Mr D. J. Killen as Assistant Government
Whip. Mr Holt said that Mr Killen had asked to be relieved
of these duties. Mr Cairns has represented the Queensland seat of
Lilley since 196-?. During the current Parliament, he has acted as the
Government Whip's assistant on a number of occasions.
