Community Cabinet Meeting in Queensland

The Rudd Government will hold its second Community Cabinet meeting in Queensland on Sunday March 2, at Narangba Valley State High School.

Community Cabinet meetings are a terrific opportunity for mums and dads, small business operators, retirees and local leaders to put forward a range of fresh ideas on local and national issues.

Our first Community Cabinet meeting in Perth last month provided my cabinet colleagues with some valuable insights and ideas.

All interested members of the public living in and around the Narangba area are welcome to attend. Please register your attendance in advance. The registration period is from Wednesday 20 February to Tuesday 26 February 2008.

The Community Cabinet meeting program will be:

* 11.30am to 1.00 pm - Registration (refreshments served)

* 1.00pm to 2.00 pm - Public Forum

* 2.15pm to 3.15 pm - Pre-arranged meetings with Cabinet ministers.

* 3.30 pm - Close of Session.

If you wish to attend the Public Forum please advise the Community Cabinet Section of the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet by 12 noon, Tuesday, 26 February 2008. You may do this by:

* filling in the registration form online at www.pmc.gov.au/community_cabinet or

* phoning PM&C on 1800 088 323 (toll free) or (02) 6271 5563 (Mon to Fri)

Cabinet ministers will be available for one-on-one meetings with a limited number of individuals or organisations. If you would like to discuss a particular issue with a Minister you need to fill in a meeting request form and provide it to PM&C by 12 noon Tuesday, 26 February 2008. You may do this by:

* filling in the meeting request form online at www.pmc.gov.au/community_cabinet or
