LIBERAL PARTY WHIPS
Statement by the Prime Minister, Mr. Harold Holt
I have appointed Mr. G. D. Erwin, M. the Member for
Ballarat, Victoria, as the Government Party Whip in the House of
Representatives. His assistant will be Mr. D. J. Killen, M. the Member
for Moreton, Queensland. Both Mr. Erwin and Mr. Killen entered the Federal
Parliament in 1955. Mr. Erwin has served on various committees and has been
Chairman of the Printing Committee and of the Joint Select Committee on
Parliamentary and Government Publications and he was a member of the
Australian Delegation to the General Assembly of the United Nations in
1961. Mr. Killen has been a member of the Joint Parliamentary
Committee on Foreign Affairs since 1964.
