A. C. T. U. IN PRE-BUDG~ ET MEETING
The Prime Minister, Mr. Harold Holt, and a
group of senior Ministers will meet representatives of the
Australian Council of Trade Unions in Canberra tomorrow to
obtain at first hand the Council's views on the economic
situation. The Council will be represented by its Senior
Vice-President, the Hon, J. D. Kenny, and Secretary,
Mr. H. J. Souter. The President of the A. C . T Mr. Albert
Mcenk, is at present overseas.
This will be the first of a series of pre-
Budget meetings. Similar discussions will take place shortly
with a group of national organisations representing industry
and commerce; and with the Manufacturing Industries Advisory
Council anid the Export Development Council..
