PRIME MINISTER'S ME~ SSAGE TO THE aICID FORCES
The i rime Minister, Mr. Harold Holt today
sent a special Australia Day Mlessage to members of Australia's
Armed Forces. IMr. Holt said
" On this ;' ustralia Day as we celebrate
the birth of our nationj there is a special place
in our thoughts for those Australians whose service
abroad is contributing to our security and wellbeing.
On behalf of the Australian Government
and people, I send to Australian servicemen and
womer4 wherever the~ y may be, an expression of our
gratitude and appreciation.
My personal good wishes to you all."
This special greeting, together with Mr. Holt's
message to the nation, was distributed to the Armed Forces
through Defence communications channels.
