VISIT BY BRITISH MINISTER OF AGRICULTURE
Statement bte _ Primee minister, the Rt. Hon. Sir Robert Menzies
The Rt. Hon. T. F. Peart, British
Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, will visit
Australia in September at the invitation of the Australian
Government. Mr. Peart will be accompanied by his wrife.
Sir Robert said that the Government attached
a great deal of importance to the visit as the United
Kingdom is a major market for Australian produce.
On present planning the visit will be for
about twelve days, during which Mr. Peart will meet Ministers,
officials and primary producer representatives. Mr, Peart's
itinerary will also include opportunities for him to see
something of Australian agriculture.
