MINISTERIAL CHANGES
As a consequence of Tim Fischer's decision to resign as
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade, I have decided to recommend
the following Ministerial appointments and changes to His Excellency
the Governor General.
The Hon Mark Vaile, MP to be appointed Minister for Trade.
The Hon Warren Truss, MP to be promoted to Cabinet and to become Minister
for Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry.
The Hon Larry Anthony, MP to become Minister for Community Services.
Senator Ron Boswell, Leader of the National Party in the Senate, to
be appointed Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Transport
and Regional Services.
The new ministerial arrangements
will take effect from 20 July 1999.
