VISIT OF LORD BOWDEN
Statement by the Acting Prime Miniserthe t. J on. J. McEwen
The Acting Prime Minister, Mr. John MoEwen,
announced today that the Right Honourable Lord Bowden
of Chesterfield Minister of State for Education and
Science in the kritish Government, will visit Australia
for two weeks beginning next Monday, January
During his stay in Australia, Lord Bowden,
who was formerly Principal of the Manchester College of
Science and Technology and Dean of the Faculty of
Technology at Manchester University, will have talks
with Australian Ministers, officials and university
leaders. On Saturday evening, January 30, he will
deliver a paper to the Summer School being held by the
Australian institute of Political Science at the Albert
Hall in Canberra. During his stay in Australia, Lord Bowden
will be the guest of the Australian Government.
