MINISTERIAL ARRANGEMENTS
Statement by the Acting Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon.
John McEwen_ M. PA
The Acting Prime Minister Mr. McEwen, announced
that, following his designation as Australian Ambassador
to Ireland, the Honourable HS. Roberton had today
tendered to His Excellency the Governor-General his
resignation as Minister for Social Services.
Mr. McEwen also announced that the Minister
for Health, Mr. Swartz, had today been sworn in by the
Governor-General as Minister for Social Services.
Mr. McEwen said that on his return to Australia
the Prime Minister would be giving consideration to
Ministerial arrangements but, in the meantime Mr. Swartz
will hold both portfolios of Health and Social Services,
