I am pleased to announce fie appointment of Senator Ian Macdonald to
the post of Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for the Environment
and Leader of the Government in the Senate, Senator Robert Hill.
The vacant post of Parliamentary Secretary to the Treasurer will be filled
by Senator Ian Campbell, who moves from the Environment portfolio.
Senator Macdonald served on the Coalition frontbench in Opposition.
Now in Government Senator Macdonald will be. a voice for tropical North
Queensland in a portfolio which has major policy interests in his home
